Spinal flow technique

How spinal flow may benefit you

Spinal Flow Technique is a gentle, hands on modality created by an Australian Chiropractor (Dr Carli Axford) who let go of trying to force healing with manipulation, adjustments and cracking of the spine, to guiding the body back towards it’s own self healing capacity with gentle touch on access points (areas of ease) on the sacrum and cranium. Connecting in with these access points reminds the body that there is ease available and the vital force (prana, chi, breath, life force, spinal flow etc) can then move through blockages and layers of stress held within the spine and all of the tissues, organs and systems connected via the nerves (essentially the whole body!)

Spinal Flow can be supportive for:

  • Nervous system regulation - calming the body and the mind, coming back into rest and digest and out of fight and flight, reducing stress and anxiety and improving sleep

  • Pain, mobility and postural challenges (including chronic pain, fibromyalgia, sciatica, headaches)

  • Digestive and reproductive issues

  • Expansion of breath and connection to the body

  • Enhancing communication between the body and the brain - a reconnection and remembering of the body’s innate healing abilities

  • Increasing circulation and blood flow to vital organs and through nerve supply and musculature, reducing menstrual pain, spasming type pain and tension held in the muscles

  • Emotional release and trauma related issues long held in the body

  • Feeling more grounded and in your body while being better able to cope with the messages your body is sending you
